Match the format to the message
Short demonstrations can explain how a product works, behind-the-scenes clips can show process, and creator stories can make a brand benefit easier to understand. Choose a format because it serves the audience and campaign goal, not simply because it is trending.
Write a useful brief, not a rigid script
Share the audience, key message, mandatory facts, prohibited claims, visual requirements and delivery date. Leave room for the creator's own voice so the final content feels natural to their community.
Get permissions before reuse
Posting content on a creator's channel does not automatically mean a brand can use it everywhere. Agree platform, duration, geography, editing rights, paid-media use and any exclusivity in writing before the campaign goes live.
Learn from creative testing
Where paid distribution is part of the plan, test a small number of distinct hooks, openings or messages. Compare results against the campaign objective and avoid drawing broad conclusions from tiny samples.
In short
UGC is most useful when the creative serves a real audience need, creators retain an authentic voice and usage rights are clear.
